HARMONIZATION OF THE DEFINITION OF COACH

Abstract

Aim. To define the concept of coach based on the current legislation and definitions given by the scientific community. Materials and methods. The study is based on a combination of general scientific and specialized scientific methods of research. Formal logic methods are also used, including analysis, synthesis, induction, and deduction. The research material is the legislation of the Republic of Belarus in the field of sports as well as the published works of well-known sports lawyers. Results. The analysis of the doctrinal and legislative definitions of coach was performed and showed the inconsistency of all existing definitions of the concept. Conclusions. The study shows the lack of a definition of coach in
the legislation of the Russian Federation, which would reflect all the specifics of coaching with respect to sports events.
