DIGITALIZATION IN SPORTS: A PHYSICAL TRAINING METHODOLOGY FOR STUDENTS TO MEET THE GTO STANDARDS
Abstract
Aim. This study aims to provide a theoretical substantiation for a physical training methodology that utilizes the digital content of the Ready for Labour and Defence (GTO) platform. Materials and methods. The study involved 1.900 students aged 18.2 ± 0.6 years. An experimental and a control group were formed, each comprising 40 first-year students. The control group followed a standard curriculum-based training program. The experimental group followed an original training methodology designed to simulate the physical activity regimen of the GTO complex. Results. In the experimental group, students’ application of their functional and technical capacities enabled them to achieve the GTO badges: Gold (18.0 %), Silver (27–36 %), and Bronze (31–36 %). Conclusion. The results confirm the hypothesis that prioritizing the inclusion of the GTO complex in the strategic planning of physical education at university is essential. This approach contributes to the balanced development of students’ worldview, motor
abilities, and functional capacities.
