Our aim as seen by the Editorial Board and Editorial Council is to inform readers about advanced world experience in scientific research connected with physical education and sport, namely: theory and methods of physical education, sports training, sports nutrition, physiology (physiology of physical education and sport), adaptive physical education, rehabilitation and sports medicine.

The journal papers are directly accessible for everyone due to the principle of free open access to research results, which contributes to a faster growth of new knowledge.
We are looking forward to cooperation with the authors sharing the aims and scope of Human. Sport. Medicine. You may contribute review or original papers as well as brief communications on previously unpublished works (this option is mainly for young scientists, master’s degree students, and postgraduates).
The Editorial Board welcomes both Russian and foreign specialists to publish their papers in Human. Sport. Medicine.
Our journal was established in 2001 and was published under the title «Vestnik Yuzhno-Uralskogo gosudarstvennogo universiteta. Seriya «Obrazovanie, zdravookhranenie, fizicheskaya kultura», (literally, “Bulletin of South Ural State University. Series “Education, Healthcare, Physical Education””) (ISSN (online) 2410-7026, ISSN 1991-9786 (Print)), the archive is available at http://vestnik.istis.ru.
In 2016 the title was changed for Human. Sport. Medicine (ISSN (online) 2500-0195, ISSN 2500-0209 (Print)). Now the journal is published six times per year: four main and two special issues.
December 14, 2016 the journal entered the Higher Attestation Commission list.
Since March 2017 the journal has been included in the international database Emerging Sources Citation Index (Web of Science).
Since October 2018 the journal has been included in Scopus.
