PROBLEMS AND PROSPECTS OF SPORTS TRAINING IN FEMALE POLICE OFFICERS (ON THE EXAMPLE OF CROSS-COUNTRY RUNNING AND POLICE BIATHLON)

Abstract

Aim. The paper aims to develop the perspective directions of improving the system of sports training in cross-country running and police biathlon, as well as the factors that increase the effectiveness of training and competitive activities in female cadets ages 18–23, members of national teams of educational institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. Materials and methods. The following methods were used for the purpose of the study: analysis and generalization of scientific and methodological literature, observation, questioning and interviewing, expert assessment and mathematical statistics, analysis of the best practices in pedagogical science, control tests. Results. A method of training female national teams in cross-country running and police biathlon based on a modular approach has been developed. Training techniques were classified into groups and distributed in a one-year training cycle on a modular basis. The deve­loped methodology and a set of tests for monitoring physical fitness will contribute to the effective management of the training process at various stages and periods of a training cycle. Conclusion. The use of the developed methodology for female national teams in cross-country running and police biathlon in educational institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia will improve sports performance.
