PSYCHOMOTOR ABILITIES AS A FACTOR OF FUTURE SUCCESS IN ATHLETES
Abstract
Aim: to identify the most significant types of psychomotor abilities for success in different types of athletics. Materials and methods. The study involved 60 beginner athletes, boys 9–11 years old. During the study, psychomotor abilities were examined. Results. The level of psychomotor preparedness of beginner athletes was determined. The correlations between the psychomotor abilities of beginner athletes and competitive exercises were found. Conclusion. The results of the study of psychomotor abilities revealed pronounced differences in the psychomotor preparedness of young athletes, which indicates the need for a differentiated approach to controlling and developing psychomotor abilities. The most significant types of psychomotor abilities for success in different kinds of athletics are revealed.
