A COMPREHENSIVE METHOD FOR ASSESSING THE PSYCHOPHYSIOLOGICAL AND FUNCTIONAL STATUS OF ATHLETES
Abstract
Aim. The paper deals with the assessment of interaction of mental and neurodynamic components of functional fitness, as well as with the search for integral characteristics of efficient adaptation to intensive neuropsychic and physical loads. Materials and methods. The study involved 130 athletes. Well-established methods for studying mental and neurodynamic components have been applied by means of the KTD-2 and Fisiolog-2M diagnostic complex. Results. All subjects are characterized by space orientation, motor coordination, readiness and self-control within physiological norms. In groups of sports specialization, indicators of mental tension and postural balance are lower than average. However, in well-trained athletes, these indicators are higher than the average level, which is typical for high-class athletes. Conclusion. Functional fitness assessment in athletes can be the basis for the development of scientific tools for elite training management.
