LEGAL REGULATION OF E-SPORTS
Abstract
Aim. To identify key problems related to the legal regulation of e-sports in Russia and abroad. Materials and methods. Retrospective analysis, comparative legal research, and legal modeling were used to explore international and national e-sports legislation, identify the main legal problems, and propose their solutions. Results. The foundations of the conceptual model of legal regulation of e-sports were formulated; the notion of e-sports and its legal classification as a sport were studied; the characteristics and problems of the legal regulation of e-sports were defined, along with the shortcomings of e-sport regulation under the legislation of some foreign countries. Conclusion. The problems of the legal regulation of e-sports in Russia were outlined, as well as the legal gaps and barriers that hinder the development of this industry. The authors proposed solutions to some problems in e-sports, such as optimal anti-doping and dispute-settling policies, including international disputes.
