Abstract

Aim. To assess the prospects for the implementation of Strategy 2030 (physical education and sport) in Russia. Materials and methods. Study methods include standard legal mechanisms for the evaluation of strategic initiatives. Results. The shortcomings of strategic planning were identified, including its focus on both mass (amateur) and professional sports, the lack of connection with advanced medical methods for health protection and injury prevention, and insufficient attention to the promotion of physical education and health among citizens. Conclusions. At the end of the COVID-19 pandemic, amateur sports should become an integral part of leisure, which requires a number of financial measures to reduce personal expenses for physical education and sports. A healthy lifestyle has the potential to provide social harmony in the case of its availability to citizens, regardless of their income.
