THE DEVELOPMENT OF NETWORK INTERACTIONS WITHIN PROFESSIONAL SPORTS CLUBS
Abstract
Aim: this study aims to explore the theoretical and methodological foundations for establishing network interactions within professional sports clubs, considering them as unique entities within the broader context of entrepreneurial activity. These clubs are examined through the lens of their capacity to drive socio-economic development within their immediate geographical area. Materials and methods. The research methodology encompasses a comprehensive analysis of contemporary Russian and international scholarly works on physical education and sports management, entrepreneurship, and the operations of non-profit organizations. Additionally, data from the official websites of professional sports clubs is incorporated into the analysis. The study employs a systematic approach, utilizing empirical analysis, analytical interpretation, comparative and generalization methods, as well as organizational and economic modeling, to synthesize theoretical insights with practical applications. Results. The investigation reveals that professional sports clubs, unlike other non-profit organizations, engage in business networks that cater to the interests of the business sector, budgetary organizations, and municipal (state) regulatory bodies. A model is proposed to facilitate the coordination of network relationships within the strategic focus of a professional sports club. This model aims to optimize the interactions of network stakeholders in the execution of strategic objectives for the development of the surrounding area, leveraging existing potentials, resources, and competitive advantages of the territory. Conclusion. The study concludes that the generative impact of a professional sports club as a non-profit organization is contingent upon the equilibrium and alignment of interests among the territorial society and social entrepreneurship involved in network relations. Furthermore, the effectiveness of the regulatory system and its capacity for self-improvement are crucial factors in determining the club's socio-economic influence.
