HUMAN RESOURCE ASSESSMENT IN INDUSTRIAL REGIONS: HEALTH MAINTENANCE AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY MOBILIZATION
Abstract
Aim: this paper aims to identify and evaluate the influence of factors ensuring health preservation and physical activity maintenance on the state of human resources in industrial regions of Russia. Materials and methods. The study was based on estimating the influence of factors determining the state of human resources in Russian regions with developed manufacturing industries over the period 2018–2023, using data from federal statistical monitoring. Results. The study demonstrates that, of the 24 selected factors that may influence health preservation and physical activity, the development of the regional healthcare system and a health-preserving behavioral model among citizens (optimal nutrition, regular physical activity, and the avoidance of unhealthy habits) have a significant positive impact on human resources in industrial regions of Russia, while morbidity rates and the regional environmental situation have a significant negative effect. Conclusion. These findings have practical implications for monitoring, forecasting, and updating state health preservation and physical activity maintenance programs in Russian industrial regions, as well as for improving state-industry-population interaction programs.
