BLENDED LEARNING IN PHYSICAL EDUCATION AT UNIVERSITY (A LITERATURE REVIEW)
Abstract
Aim. This paper presents an analysis of scientific data on possibilities and prospects for developing a system of blended physical education (PE) that involves the comprehensive use of modern information and communication technologies (ICT). Materials and methods. This literature review includes scientific works published in journals indexed in the Scopus and Web of Science databases, as well as those included in the Higher Attestation Commission (VAK) of Russia list from 2011 to 2024. Results. The educational system is actively integrating ICT into academic activities. Blended learning is becoming a leading educational direction in the educational process. The decline in physical fitness among youth and the reduction in PE classes at universities emphasize the relevance of independent physical exercise. The use of ICT appears to be an important direction for increasing their effectiveness. Experts have employed various options for using ICT in organizing physical activity and have accumulated data on the use of individual digital technologies for physical exercise. However, currently, there is no blended PE system that comprehensively integrates ICT. Conclusion. In PE, methodologies for the comprehensive use of ICT within a blended learning structure have not been considered. However, a blended learning system appears to be rational, including the main traditional component (offline classes) and a remote component (independent physical activity).
