Abstract

The technical fitness levels in students-footballers who were enrolled in the University and chose football section for physical education classes keep on decreasing over years. This means that new ways to improve the training process quality are to be found. Aim. To enhance individual technical fitness of 18–20-year-old footballers considering motor asymmetry specifics in them. Materials and Methods. Literature review and analysis of training process of student football teams have shown that educational and training process lacks a targeted technical and tactical exercising of a subdominant leg. The studies were conducted in the study football groups of the 1st year of the Ural Federal University. 2 groups were formed: the control group including 23 students and the experimental group including 22 students. Before and after the pedagogical experiment the levels of physical and technical fitness, and emotional and psychological state were assessed in students-footballers. The significance of the experiment results was checked using mathematical processing methods and statistical methods (Student’s t-test, White test). Results. Technical exercising of a subdominant leg during the football classes improves the level of technical and tactical performance in competitive activity. The indicators of technical and tactical performance and level of emotional and psychological state in the experimental group students were higher than in the control group. This result is observed for performed techniques during training and official games. Conclusion. Method for improving the individual level of technical fitness considering athletes’ motor asymmetry complements the theory and principles of student’s football. Application of this method increases the performance of technical exercising of a subdominant leg and improves students’ emotional and psychological state.
