The Shapovalova index was used for an estimate of speed, power, and speed endurance. The overall health and adaptive capacity was assessed according to the method of R. M. Baevsky. Results. The data obtained allowed us to provide a comprehensive assessment of the functional state and the overall health of children with Down syndrome. Conclusion. Experimental data indicate an underdeveloped physique, impaired nervous processes, a low functional state of the body, and a low overall health of children.
