DEVELOPMENT OF A DATABASE FOR HISTORICAL AND CULTURAL HERITAGE SITES ASSOCIATED WITH CHELYABINSK MERCHANTS IN THE CONTEXT OF URBAN TOURISM ENHANCEMENT
Abstract
Aim. This study delves into the systematization of data pertaining to historical and cultural heritage sites, exploring their potential for fostering urban tourism development. Materials and methods. The theoretical and methodological foundations of this research are grounded in a comprehensive review of both national and international literature on tourism digitalization. The study also employs a blend of theoretical and empirical methodologies. Results. Findings reveal a gap in the existing body of knowledge regarding the use of IT capabilities for enhancing urban tourism. To address this gap, a comprehensive database has been developed, focusing on the historical and cultural heritage of Chelyabinsk merchants from the 19th and early 20th centuries. Conclusion. Our database serves as a valuable source of information on architectural features within the city's historical district, offering insights into 116 potential attractions for various types of excursion programs.
