THE STRUCTURE OF APPLIED MILITARY COMPETENCE OF MILITARY SCIENCE DEPARTMENT STUDENTS IN THE TRADITIONAL UNIVERSITY

Abstract

Aim. To explain the concept and to reveal the level of formedness of applied military (sport) competence. Organization and Methods. The main methods of the research are analysis and synthesis, instructional modeling method, survey, and testing. The experimental work aimed to reveal the efficiency of the level of formedness of applied military (sport) competence was conducted at the premises of the Military Science Department of South Ural State University among the 3rd–4th-year students going into additional education. Results. The paper presents the integrative criteria for assessment of applied military (sport) competencies of students, which may be used in the educational practice. Conclusion. The results of ascertaining research suggest that it is necessary to make drastic alterations in structure and content of means, methods, and conditions of applied military training of the traditional university students as well as in mechanisms of evaluation of the results of this training. It is also necessary to perform the organizationalinstructional modeling of the system of interactions between all the subjects of higher education and structural elements involved in physical education in the university considering the principles of methodology of sportization of physical education.
